PADI Scuba Diver Certification
Not quite ready for the full Open Water course or not enough time? The PADI Scuba Diver certification is your answer. In just 2 days you'll earn a real, lifetime PADI certification — internationally recognized and valid anywhere in the world.
The Scuba Diver course covers the first three sections of the full PADI Open Water course and certifies you to dive up to 12 meters deep accompanied by a PADI professional anywhere in the world. It's the ideal option if you want a genuine certification but have limited time in Cartagena. The Scuba Diver course certifies you to dive with a professional guide up to 12 meters. And if you later want to dive independently, you can upgrade to Open Water — your Scuba Diver certification counts toward it so you won't repeat any work. The course consists of two days — theory and practice. The theory covers the essentials of diving knowledge through the PADI manual, videos, and quizzes online.
The practical portion starts in shallow, calm confined water to build your skills and confidence, then moves into two real ocean dives at two different sites. Students must complete the following:
-First 3 chapters of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual with knowledge reviews
-3 PADI theory modules in the classroom with a professional instructor
-Quiz and exam materials
-Confined water practice session to build skills before your first ocean dive
-Two open water dives at two separate sites
-Medical clearance may be required depending on your health history
